Varese Audirvana & Qobuz Connect support

I see that Audirvana Studio has been officially released. Any update on support for that and Qobuz Connect for us Varese owners?

There was a Mosaic Actus/Varese firmware update 12 days ago.

However adding Qobuz Connect is not a new feature.

I have heard nothing at all about Varese ( or other dCS lines) regarding Audirvana Studio and am not sure where this comes into things from a dCS point of view.

Audirvana Studio (and Origin) work just fine as a standard UPnP Server (and integrated Control-Point) with the dCS V/R/B/L families.

Given John’s post in December about problems using Audirvana with Varèse, I’d also venture a guess that it might be resolved with the latest firmware update. :thinking:

Well…A Varése owner has normally enough money to pay a full time development team for his own needs…I would buy dCS otherwise, they are already experienced with firmware :face_with_peeking_eye:

The latest Varèse firmware update, 1.0.17, renews some internet security certificates (and is therefore mandatory). That is the only change in that release.

Got it. So, no functional changes as such.

I didn’t see a response to John’s original escalation on getting Audirvana to work though? :thinking:

It was my understanding that dCS products (except Varese) would show up natively in Audirvana as end points so no Upnp needed. Also Qobuz connect is available dCS products other than Varese. I just want the same functionality as the rest of the dCS product line.

No John, the ‘Plāys with Audirvāna’ certification is based on an extra level of integration on top of UPnP (auto-configuration of audio settings based on device recognition) it doesn’t replace it. Discovery and replay are still completely based on UPnP.

When I test now, UPnP discovery is working fine for Lina, Bartók and Varèse. But neither Lina nor Bartók are being ”recognised” by Audirvāna per the ’Plāys with’ Integration, despite being PwA certified and I’m currently unable to play to Varèse.

I need to do some more testing.

Oh? :thinking: I haven’t checked it lately, but both definitely did in the past, which I posted about here and here.

Please check and get back to me @Anupc (with Network board 529 and earlier if you still have anything with an earlier version). I know they have worked but neither seem to be recognized for me right now.

I just checked, discovery and auto configuration (“plays with”) work fine with V/B/L (529);

ps: And the dCS Network Bridge too (also on 529)!

Many thanks @Anupc. Need to figure out why I’m not seeing that.
