Come on Jeremy, not too many completely talent-free artists have achieved all this!

Inspired by Jeremy’s ever-so-slightly conservative scepticism I decided to spin this one this morning:

Quite poignant that Bennett was 95 y o and had been diagnosed with dementia five years prior to the recording sessions (I can recommend the review on Roon which I am unfortunately unable to link or quote here) so this was his “swan song”. Also check out the review in the Independent.

Been digging back with a theme of ‘what was out 20 years ago’. Been enjoying this one again.

I remember seeing Madonna perform spontaneously at the 100 club on Oxford Street in about 1982 (so I was well underage)! Apparently she was there as a guest and the management asked her to sing so she sang Holiday (then unreleased). Amazing!

I was at a 50th birthday party last night that was styled as a 70s disco so maybe I was back in the disco groove? Either way I listened to this just before bed.

Holé molé folks! :star_struck::star_struck::star_struck: This was something else! It was like being at a live gig (although of course this is a studio album). The vocals are amazing, the instrumental layering otherworldly and the electronic effects like sparks of musical energy all over the soundscape. Jawdropping! :open_mouth:

Right brain is saying ‘endgame’ but left brain just thinks that is definitionally absurd!

BBLPC (you know who you are), I am starting to get it! :raised_hands::raised_hands::raised_hands:

Harp - Albion

Very nice album, not the best recording but the electric guitars sound so relaxed. Great music for the mind to wander off :-).
