My youngest son (who is 25) recommended this album to me.
He was surprised when I told him that I liked it so much that I immediately bought the download (from Qobuz).
I agree with your assessment.

NRG Music - 1997

My favourite track is ‘Harlem Nocturne’. Great guitar work by Danny Gatton.
Specially track 5 , Latin Note , perfect to know if the bass in your system is deep, low, round and well controlled or not. I’m talking about St. Germain , Tourist.
And this track is also brutal to check how wide ,deep and high is your soundstage, with fantastic percussion
Saw him live at the Royal Albert Hall (of all places) many years ago. Outstanding!

This is an album of (principally) live performances.
IMO, a good recording.
A heavy day of listening today with T and J. Several new discoveries all of which represent amazing musicianship and some outstanding recordings. BBLPC will have a field day with some of these!

I couldn’t find this fat boys in Qobuz. .
I don’t think it’s available on Qobuz.
I bought the CD from Bandcamp but, unfortunately, it is currently showing as sold out…
Me either. But Harlem Nocturne is available on both “Cruisin’ Deuces” and “Danny Gatton Live in 1977”.
I have never heard anything quite like this before…
