Yusef Dayes - Black Classical Music
Brownswood Recordings Flac - 48/24
Dayes introduces Black Classical Music in his own words;
Amazing drummer from South East London (Crystal Palace). Incredible sprawling jazz album that touches on lots of other genres (in the best way). Probably my favourite release of 2023
Hi Barry. May I ask if you would be so kind as to edit your post so that you add some text information as to what thecalbum is ( title ,artist, technical source e.g. CD, Qobuz etc.).
This is necause blind friends using reading aid software cannot use it to read images. Thanks.
Forget this. My phone just revealed the bottom paragraph.
Would give this ten stars if I could. Definitely one of the albums in the “soundtrack of my life”. Wore out a needle or two playing “Mirror in the bathroom”!
Dug these out to relive the memory of one of my earliest formative high end audio experiences from a dealer (sunk without trace) audition in Hampshire, must have been the late eighties. Listened to these through a very well set up system comprising LP12/Ittok/Troika, Naim NAC 32.5/NAP250, Linn Isobarik. I remember it to this day!
The first was one of the store’s standard demo discs at that time, the second one of my father’s favourites.
