Would give this ten stars if I could. Definitely one of the albums in the “soundtrack of my life”. Wore out a needle or two playing “Mirror in the bathroom”!
I think that their live version ‘Cortez the Killer’ is better than Neil Young’s…

Amazing album of esoteric psychodelia I met via an end of year list from Late Junction presenter Jennifer Lucy Allan.
Dug these out to relive the memory of one of my earliest formative high end audio experiences from a dealer (sunk without trace) audition in Hampshire, must have been the late eighties. Listened to these through a very well set up system comprising LP12/Ittok/Troika, Naim NAC 32.5/NAP250, Linn Isobarik. I remember it to this day!
The first was one of the store’s standard demo discs at that time, the second one of my father’s favourites.
