Erno, just to let you know, I think that this Qobuz 24/96 version (remastered and released 26/2/21) is also excellent, (maybe even better?)

You’ll note that Bernarda Fink features again, of course!
IMO, this performance of Erbarme Dich is even more sublime…

Thanks Jonathan. I just finished listening your Rene Jacobs version, and liked it a lot too. I still prefer the Philippe Herreweghe one, though. I have put the Nikolaus Harnoncourt version to my library now too. Lined up for listening, probably next Good Friday.

Thanks Erno. I suggest that you just listen to Nikolaus Harnoncourt/Bernarda Fink’s version of Erbarme Dich as a taster of what to look forward to next Good Friday…?
IMO, it’s 6.02 minutes of bliss!
