Good recording of one of the Symphonic Dances, available as MQA on Tidal

Great to see someone recommending classical music here.

This is also available in 24/96 on Qobuz with the advantage for people using dCS for the Tidal MQA decode that via Qobuz it will replay gapless.

Excellent! Glad you’re enjoying it. FWIW, the FLAC files that she offers on her site are (i think only for this album) 24-bit. Don’t know why Qobuz only has the 16-bit version.

That’s good to know, thanks Greg.

Inspired me to go back to this. AIFF 44/16.

I keep coming back to this album, fantastic blend of early choir music and jazz sax improv. And a good test for how your system and listening environment render reverb tails

Only have it in 44.1/16. The last album of this collaboration (Remember me, my dear) is available in MQA, musically I still prefer this record

Listening to this performance without seeing it puts the material at a certain disadvantage.

Watch the Blu-Ray!

Nevertheless:

Tidal FLAC 48kHz 24bit, MQA 96kHz

This album is rather less frenetic…
Particularly ‘Open Door - Tuning - Prologue’…
