I press the ON button on my 3 months old Upsamler, the screen shows the “ Vivaldi Upsampler” logo. But a few audible clicks, the unit then shuts off. I tried switching the unit off for 10min from the main switch and start again, but had the same results. What should I do?
Hi @barryr1
Yep … this one sounds like it needs dealer involvement … very disappointing if it’s only three months old but that is what warranties are for and we’ll obviously try to get it turned round for @Antonis ASAP…

Update: On the Mosaic app the Upsampler is fully operational and it also plays music as usual! Could it be that only the screen has a problem?
It could be that you’ve turned the display off. Check in Device Setrings under the ”hamburger” menu top left in Mosaic.
This is so true, although I had never turned the display off in the first place. But I discovered that by randomly scrolling down the menu of the app, while listening to the intoxicating sound of the Vivaldi combo. Thank you so much!
Hi Antonis, glad to find that you have found the reason for your issue.
You may inadvertently have selected this mode g. selecting front panel menu button when seeking power and thereon selecting display when attempting to correct the situation) or touching the relevant Mosaic control option without realising.
However one other reason may be that the unit interpreted a random IR signal as one to switch off the display. Such signals can emanate form all sorts of sources such as other IR commanders or even sunshine. This possibility is why there is a settings lock on Vivaldi DAC to prevent it happening. I don’t think that this option exists for Upsampler though.
