Sto pensando di acquistare un Teac VRDS 701T, dotato di ingresso clock BNC con frequenza 10Mhz ed impedenza 50 Ohm. Potrei usare l’uscita del Lina Clock con il Teac? Qualcuna ha già provato quest’accoppiamento? Grazie

No. The VRDS 701T is not compatible with the LIna Clock.
The Teac only provides a master clock input for 10 MHz. Lina clock ( and all other dCS clocks), provides word clock output frequencies. So for this CD player to synchronise with the Lina clock the VRDS would need to have a 75 ohm 44.1KHz input. Sadly it does not.
CD transports with the right clock input can be found and you may want to read the thread linked :
@Dunc liked the result using Vivaldi clock. However Lina clock does not have sufficient outputs to support both DAC and transport ( which world be needed).

Mi conviene cercare un trasporto con uscita USB, per poter utilizzare al meglio il clock Lina. Magari DCS un giorno farà un trasporto per completare lo stack Lina…
Un problema è che sia il DAC che il trasporto devono essere sincronizzati. Questo si ottiene utilizzando lo stesso riferimento di clock per entrambi i componenti. Il clock Lina ha solo due uscite di clock, ciascuna dedicata a 44,1 o 48 kHz. Per utilizzare un clock Lina in un sistema Lina con trasporto CD è necessaria un’uscita aggiuntiva a 44,1 kHz, che Lina non ha.
È possibile ottenere questo risultato sostituendo il clock Lina con un clock Rossini. Tuttavia, il costo potrebbe rappresentare un ostacolo.

Grazie Pete, infatti penso che la soluzione migliore sia quella di trovare un trasporto con l’uscita usb, perchè il clock agisce sia sull’ingresso ethernet che sull’ingresso USB. Con gli altri ingressi il clock non funziona. Ecco perchè sarebbe opportuno che DCS progetti un trasporto Lina con uscita USB in modo che tutto funzioni…
If you can find a CD transport with USB output (they do exist) then USB may be an answer as it is asynchronous. However other members with better knowledge of USB than I have might like to contribute.
Perhaps these days ripping the CDs, storing them on NAS and replaying then via dCS Mosaic may be a better long term solution.
