Of late I am experiencing problem with Mosaic App unable to get results when searching for a track on Tidal. I am experiencing this problem from Vivaldi Upsampler. Is anyone else facing this issue?
We were promised Tidal related updates, however, it has been months and dCS Support has not released any of the promised fixes with Tidal on Mosaic for Upsampler.
Edit: The issue could be related to indexing, however, it is super quick on Tidal app but issue is with Mosaic platform. Tried from iPad and Samsung devices, doesn’t matter it is the same results.
I don’t typically use Tidal as often as I do Qobuz, only for the occasional “World” or Pop Artists who don’t appear on Qobuz, but I just tried a couple of random searches on Tidal via Mosaic, I’m not experiencing any issues with returning search results.
Where are you located? I’m guessing you have issues from your geography with Airable - Your Mosaic Tidal Search results comes from Airable, NOT Tidal directly. So, comparing Mosaic against the native Tidal App is not useful at all.
Care to elaborate on what specific Tidal related updates you’re talking about?
They are all there and James has acknowledged them well will be addressed in the next releases. Since you don’t use Tidal may not be relevant for you.
BTW I am from the USA. Like I said don’t try the tracks that were searched often, try something that wasn’t frequently searched. It takes forever to return on Mosaic. Doesn’t matter what is underlying platforms when it didn’t work it doesn’t and has to be addressed. Atleast recommend a solution for how to get something that wasn’t frequently searched to quickly retrieve using Mosaic.

In any case, I just tried a Tidal search again, an obscure artist - The Lotus Eaters - results came back in a split second. No issue at all. Definitely not a dCS Mosaic issue.
I don’t want someone to be testing with what they know only and miscue this thread. I would keep this thread open for others actively using Tidal on Mosaic to report and add to this thread.

Current issues , not all but few just to keep you happy and if you are able to resolve them

Cannot.add tracks to Tidal collection from Mosaic
Once a track from Tidal plays and completes, it plays in loop even after it is deleted from the play queue in Mosaic. It happens often, however, don’t know the pattern and behind the scenes causing this issue. Literally has to turn off the unit to stop its playing as no new tracks add to the queue.
Certain times track is added to play queue but doesn’t play.
I tried the same search on Wiim, a less than $100 USD device and the results across all the platforms it is connected to is instantaneous. This time I am not comparing it to the native Tidal App, a 3rd party using Tidal API similar to Mosaic. Also on Mosaic I gave the entire search string, however, here it is just a part of it still the results are super fast.
A $34K+ device and more a box with software on it, is it supposed to be how the interface would work?
