The dCS Debussy does not remember the last selected source

My Debussy DAC has recently stopped remembering the last selected input source.

Whether I turn it off using standby mode or the rear panel power switch, it always powers up on SPDIF1.

Is this a technical fault?

Hi Erno, The Vivaldi range uses a battery backed RAM/RTC to store unit settings, such as volume, balance, filters etc. It also stores the serial number of a unit, and with the Vivaldi Clock it stores the clock calibration data. That sounds logical. However, I haven’t found any confirmation anywhere that the Debussy also has a battery backing up its memory.

Can anyone confirm this? I’ve also sent an inquiry to the local service center.

The Debussy uses the 7J control board which does have a backup battery so that is quite likely to be the issue…

Ok, thank you very much for the confirmation. I’ll try to check with a local service whether there’s a chance to replace the battery.
