My current setup. Loving my Gryphon electronics together with dCS Vivaldi Apex and Bergmann turntable
Although not a Naim component owner I have an affinity because I live in Salisbury (UK) - the home of Naim. I do read the Naim community posts and very occasionally make a point or two. On one occasion I attempted to suggest how good the dCS community forum was. I was swiftly rebuked and - of course - the post never saw the light of day.
Sounds about right
It can be a good place for info, as long as you look past a few that are certainly blinkered.
I don’t own MBL but when we bought our apartment ( pictured ) the interior designer used MBL speakers to show case the property . You can see them on the right side of the photo .
Amazing system, congratulations
Thanks a lot
Yes, I know and waaaaay off topic but it is sad news that MBL has filed for insolvency. (I do fully expect to be reprimanded for this post.)

Yes agreed , this is the wrong thread and category for this. Still, MBL may find the fresh investment needed. I can think of several well known audio companies or related services that have been in similar situations but many of these are still with us. So fingers crossed.
Hi Brian
I am on the Naim forum, as are others from dCS.
I’ve still got one of their power amps, which may be replaced next year.
We often take abuse from the usual suspects.
Just landed, one more piece of my Vivaldi system, wrong colour but hey, at least I found one. I had been looking for a long time.
(Not the normal/final place for them as you see them now)
Congrats @August! Good things come to he who waits.
As I see it, 44.1 - 352.8 would be better
Well spotted. I just hooked it up and made it work, haven’t had time to really play with it yet and listen to it. Had to leave soon after taking the picture.
Good morning August,
In the menu of your new Upsampler, you’ll find an option called DXD Lock, this will automatically change the DXD rate between 352.8 and 384kS/s depending on the base rate of the content being played.
To find the setting, press Menu on the front panel, scroll to the “settings” tab and then scroll until you find the DXD options. If you select the icon with a closed padlock, the rate will change automatically and the frequency on the display will be replaced with “DXD”.
That’s what the user guide says. However in my case it does not seem to function in practice ,DXD locked or not. It just continues to show the individual frequencies without any change to DXD. I am in contact with support over this.
Good morning Pete,
James has just pointed out to me that I have left one crucial piece of information out of my message. Once the DXD lock has been enabled, cycle through the output rates until DXD is displayed on the front panel. As you have rightly pointed out, it does not change from the point that the DXD lock is enabled but will switch between 352.8 and 384kS/s once DXD has been selected manually as the desired output rate.
Thanks Ali, will have time to fiddle with the settings and have a proper listen tonight.
Alisdair, just to clarify. The issue that I have raised with support really concerns the Mosaic v1.4.4 GUI when it is desired to select DXD upsample rate for which no provision has been made ( or at least I cannot find it) . DXD upsampling can only be selected using the Vivaldi Upsampler front panel controls where it functions as advertised.
Actually I think we need a separate thread for this if it is wished to go further as it has moved OT.
My main dealer is talking about that Oladra, is it worth it?
