I couldn’t work any longer with that set-up
Totally OT, but hey, it STARTED on topic…
T1: 0.1 ppm = 100,000 ppt (from manual)
T1: 20 ppb = 20,000 ppt (internal)
T1: 1 ppb = 1000 ppt (GPS locked for one hour)
Perf10: 5 ppb = 5000 ppt
…so if I’m reading this correctly, @Anupc the T1 is worse than the Perf10 until you get it GPS locked. (It remains markedly better looking than the Perf10 throughout.)
Perhaps.
Not all GPSDO’s are quite the same though; they’re built on the basis of synchronisation to the US Naval Observatory Atomic Clock as a reference to a local oscillator built into the GPSDO. So, next you’ll need to find one with appropriate Allan Deviation specifications for the local oscillator, etc etc.
I suspect you’d be better of focusing your spare budget on something else
Ok, deal
(Thanks for the detail. So, so interesting.)
I’m still saving up to have a caesium fountain installed on the front lawn but terrified about the clock cable dilemma it’s going to leave me in…
I am sure Nordost will have you covered, at an entirely reasonable price…
Actually @struts001, you can probably borrow everything you need from @Lima
Word on the street is he already has it in stock ; )
I don’t sell hi-fi…
Can you please tell me what’s that you put on your tv screen?
I asked the same question in a previous post on this thread.
Here is the answer;
Thanks, i already send an email.
Hi there, here’s my system
dCS Bartók Apex;
DarTZeel CTH-8550MK2;
Metronome T5 CD transport;
Wilson Audio Alexia 2;
Synergetic research Galileo SX PowerCell with XL cable;
Synergetic research SRX loom cables;
Nordost QKore 6 for grounding;
Nordost Qnet with Qsource;
Nordost Heimdall Ethernet cable from router to switch and switch to Bartók;
Nordost blueheaven Ethernet cable.
To me the system is to my taste, i would like to install 1 or 2 JL sub but i dont have any free space more. The best up-grade i did for the money it was the grounding and the most efective was the cables and powercell, it was like changing the all system to 1 or 2 step up.
It’s a beautiful setup @Lima.
This is amazing.
Thank you all
Here is my current setup with a new Bartok Apex from my local dealer. The Bartok replaced an Ayre QB-9 Twenty. My other components are as follows:
Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT (speakers)
Vandersteen sub three (stereo pair)
McIntosh MC-611 mono blocs (amps)
Ayre K-1xe (preamp)
Well Tempered Amadeus (turntable)
Dynavector Te Kaitora Rua (cartridge)
Audioquest cables (Comet double bi-wire, Wind XLR, etc.)
dcs Bartok Apex (Dac)
Thanks for looking!
Glen
Great to see such a fine system set up with what looks like a lot of care in a well treated and seemingly dedicated room. Color me jealous!
Thank you for the very kind words. It is in a dedicated room and I have included a couple more images for a wider perspective. These two images are before I made a couple of small changes, like upgraded cabling/final speaker placement, but you can at least get the idea,
Thanks again.
Glen
Great looking room and set up.
