Rossini won't connect to mosaic. not a network issue

hi, my rossini won’t connect to mosaic. all network trouble shooting has been completed, rossini is up , running and seen on the network. In fact Roon is playing on rossini just fine no issues. rossini won’t connect to mosaic on my iPhone or MBP. I deleted the app and reinstalled it on the iPhone still no connection. app just says looking for the device… isolated everything else and all running fine? running latest version of Mosaic as well and it was all working fine yesterday?

Anthony, it almost certainly is a network issue.

This does not normally mean that Rossini is not on the network or otherwise running normally but that Mosaic is unable to recognise the messages sent to it. Common causes of this may be that your router has been updated in the background and that its software settings have been changed so that it will not pass multicast streams ( e.g. IGP snooping) or that an IP address has been changed and is now not recognised by Mosaic.

As I have often posted, I am no network expert so Support may need to guide you through what to do:

Good morning, thanks Pete hope your well. The fibre network definitely did an update yesterday. I shut Rossini down and completely powered off. It came back up but not consistently? The IP address is the same ,correct and is set as a static ip so it does not need to roam a connection and it’s been ok like that for months. I use to be able to access rossini admin online but that also has not been working of late?

It’s the router software menu that you may need to look at to check or amend settings.

Check to see if you have not created two separate networks by mistake.

The Rossini may be connected to one network while your iPhone/MacBook may be connected to another.
