I have a Rossini . I didn’t use it for a few weeks and so it was turned off. Today I turned it on and let it on standby. I observed this evening that when I put my hand on it, it’s warm… warmer than usual. It’s true that in my living room, temperature is 25 degrees… do you observe the same on your side ?
Many thanks for your help and support.
That’s not a good way to get an idea of the operating temperature. Use Mosaic and the choose Support. In section Status you get on overview of the different operating values of your Rossini. At least on my Bartok and guess it goes the same for your Rossini.
Mine is currently 44.1 C at a room temp of 23.5C. Guess yours shpuld be around the same.
This has nothing to do with Roon, which I don’t use either btw. The screenshot shown is from Mosaic,an app supplied by dCS to control and operate their products.
The Rossini will keep warm in standby - it reduces the amount of time for the unit to be fully up to temperature when you are ready to listen, compared to having it turned off. The heat is dissipated through the chassis so it’s normal for it to be a bit warm to the touch. Nothing to worry about!
