Rossini firmware update failure

Hi all,

I have a problem with updating my Rossini, it shows “No update available for your device” every time,no matter I restarted the Rossini many times or reset the Streaming Interface from browser…

Front panel: 2.03

Control Board Version: 2.03

Network Board Version: 1.2.0(507)

Hi Joe, welcome to the forum. Do you use Mosaic and if so, did you update that to the latest version?

Hi August, yes I also tried from Mosaic app and it shows the same info“No update available for your device”…

Is the Mosaic app also updated to the latest version? I am assuming that you have the Rossini wired up to Ethernet and it has an IP address?

Further to August’s question you should have Mosaic app version on your device v. 1.4.4. Your post suggests that you are using 1.2 which dates back some years.

Updating usually involves a two step process. The Mosaic app may need updating first and is obtained from google or App Store depending on your device. Did you do this as you make no mention of it in your original post?

Once the latest app is installed you can then use the control options in Mosaic to check and download any other update available. Latest Rossini DAC software version is 2.1.

Joe’s Rossini is a very old firmware version which is a bit too old to be updated directly from Mosaic - likely it’s only been used with the old Rossini app previously? - and instead will need to have a firmware file applied via the web interface initially to bring it up to date and after that he’ll be fine with updating firmware normally via Mosaic.

He’s contacted us directly at support@ so I’ll drop him a reply back there.

Hi August, thanks for the reply, yes Mosaic Version is 1.4.4(161)

Where can I download the right firmware file, should I use an usb stick to install? (I have tried via browser under ID add. and it said the same thing- No update available for your device )
