I had this issue on an ELAC DDP-2.
Within Roon software, go to:
Settings >
Audio >
(Select your dCS Product) >
Device Setup >
Resync Delay >
Adjust this to 1500ms and see if the problem persists. If this solves this issue, it means Roon was having issues switching between formats (or something like that). You then try to lower this Delay value until the problem repeats,…and you discover the minimum workable delay.
