Qobuz album downloads not visible with Mosaic

Hello, Typically I download .AIFF, .wav and .flac versions of each album i buy from Qobuz. For a week or so now, mosaic has not updated to reflect any new albums loaded onto my server - i.e. they do not appear in the new albums folder or if I navigate using the artist name / album. I have tried various system re-boots and power cycles for all hardware and software but to no avail. Curiously Innous sense can see and play the files but Mosaic. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if yes how did you resolve it. PS: I am running the current mosaic revision level on my Rossini.

This sounds like you have downloaded the files but have not scanned them into your server software. So the items are there but Mosaic will have no idea that they exist.

You need to rescan your server software.

Hello Pete,

Thanks. Yes, the issue has something to do with how the files are delivered - I have tried various routes ( copying from one intermediate drive to the server as well as direct from qobuz). Sometimes Mosaic registers the file new files, but not in every instance. I also note that you can loose sight of files (particularly .wav). Is there a source re-scan feature with mosaic, or is a case of re-booting the server each time?

Interested to know how you avoid this issue. Thanks.

You need to familiarise yourself with your server software. the rescan is part of this and has nothing to do with Mosaic. Mosaic simply reflects what it finds in the server software.

the server software usually ( I think I mean always) includes an option called rescan so you need to Google this or contact Innuos. dCS recommend and support MinimServer, but this is probably not available in Innuos. I do not know what unit you have but I understand that current models are using Asset. You can probably find the information online.

So you need to get to your server software probably via your browser. MinimServer uses the associated MinimWatch which is loaded to your computer and generates a menu of options in the task bar so you just click resacan. No need to touch Mosaic. I expect you will find something similar for your innnuos setup or the Innuos function menu has the option as the software has been pre-loaded by them.

What you have at the moment are downloads that you haven’t installed and that’s why Mosaic can’t find them.

Thanks - i will look into the innous operating system as you suggest.
