Problems with Purcell's startup process

I’ve been using Purcell and Dullius for many years. Recently, I’ve been experiencing problems with my Purcell. I don’t know the software version, but it’s definitely been a long time since it was updated.
When I press the power button to turn on the Purcell, “Testing.” appears with a blinking dot, then after a while, “Changing” appears and the display goes blank. When I press the power button again, “Testing” appears, but the dot doesn’t blink, and it just stops. Pressing any button doesn’t produce any response, and the display remains stuck on “Testing.” I tried the reset method described in the manual, but I couldn’t do it because the buttons were unresponsive.
Until now, it had started up and worked normally Could anyone offer any troubleshooting advice?

HI Tachi and welcome to to the forum.

I am sorry to learn of your issue. dCS offer support for older “legacy” units for a considerable period though it will probably also be chargeable. As I hope you will understand if components are no longer available it may not be possible. This type of issue is unlikely to be solved by one of us on the forum offering a quick fix as I expect it is not related to unit settings etc.

I suggest that you contact dCS Support directly at the email address below. Give them a description of the issue, the serial number of the Purcell and your location. Good luck and let us know of the outcome.

PS: despite my comment about quick fixes, if you have been switching Purcell off and on only using the front panel power button this does not fully power off the unit .Try switching it off using the rear panel rocker switch. Wait a minute or so then switch it back on again. Let us know if it is successful.
