Yes, integer upsampling CD to would be best.
We do some pretty good filtering to ensure that the aliasing that is inherent in non-integer upsampling doesn’t affect the audio band but integer upsampling avoids that.
Ultimately though the CORRECT answer for you should be to try both and see what you like …
