Output impedance change when using dCS volume control

My understanding is that the lower the output impedance of a preamp/dCS the better, and the higher the input impedance of a power the better.
I read the output impedance of my Rossini apex is very low; below 2 ohms. Is it still the case when I adjust the volume say, -20db or - 40db?

Hi Simon2, I believe the output impedance of the balanced output of the Rossini APEX DAC is actually 3Ω, but yes, it is very low. And no, it is not affected by the level of attenuation applied by the digital volume control.
