Sorry in case this question has been already answered but I was wondering whether it would be possible to sort music by “date added” while using Mosaic listening to local files stored in my Antipodes K41 (server) using the MinimServer UPnP server software.
Mosaic gives several categorised options for searching ( though it partly depends on how your server software is configured).
When you open UPnp in Mosaic it will show a menu of search criteria. Although one default provides Date , this is the release year of the album not date added although another option is Latest which may be of use.
Yes, that’s what I was referring to. You can see Date and I think that you may find Latest if you carry on scrolling down. However I am working from memory as my system is not currently on for me to check.
I am unsure about Antipodes in any detail so I am not certain what server software it runs. Check but I think MinimServer might be an option. This is the software that dCS supports ( see FAQs). You can make custom changes to certain aspects of its configuration and these will be reflected in Mosaic. This is a bit complex to go further on in this thread though.
Edit: I just saw that the screenshot shows that the server software is MinimServer.
Hi Franco,
The simple answer to your question is “if your UPnP server supports that”…
ALL searching and sorting is handled by the UPnP server itself. Mosaic simply displays lists that are generated by the UPnP server and doesn’t do any searching, indexing or cataloguing in itself … so if the K41 is able to filter / sort by date added then that will be available from Mosaic but my suspicion is that it won’t although it may well allow sorting by “Release Date”.
I hope that helps.
Phil
Thanks Phil. I’ve sorted it out successfully by purchasing a full license of the MinimServer which offers different sorting options.
