Mosaic non responding as usual

I have been using mosaic flawlessly ( except occasional spiral in searching for vivaldi) for years. I went out of town for a week and shut everything down. I noticed that the clock had unlocked itself. I reset that. Separate aes switches 1&2 3&4 in mosaic are now only aes, mosaic doesnt want to engage the transport ( although i can play it manually and the system hears it) and the mosaic volume control seems in delay and possibly skewed rather than linear. I rebooted the upsampler but that doesnt seem to have corrected it. Any thoughts? Thx. B

You are not reporting that Mosaic cannot find anything nor that it is dropping out. The Mosaic app is there with all its attributes in place but they are not functioning correctly, at least if I understand you.

This does not sound as if it is a network fault. There may be a number of causes but the obvious one to me is that your app is corrupt in some way. I suggest that you delete it from your device and install a fresh copy from App or Play store.

Let us know how you get on. This might be a quick fix but we will have to think again if it does not work.

Barry, sounds like your RS232 setting or cable connection might have gone wonky. Make sure all your units have the RS232 setting at “Binary” (not “Text”), and that the 3-way cable is properly seated.

Hey @Anupc to the rescue. Yes. That seems to have corrected functions. How they got off setting by booting (shutting down for a week) is unknown. Ill have to watch carefully and see if they switch again. Clock was very noticeable as it lost the 44/48 separation. Im still a little confused as i thought i saw aes 1&2 and aes 3&4 in the source menu in mosaic but that may be a phantom memory. All seem to play fine through aes shown in mosaic and the dac doesnt need to flip to 1&2 (from 3&4) to see the transport. Volume control is smooth and linear. I have noticed that although the dac and transport are locked the lock icon does not show in the view screen on either device while playing. Possibly normal. In any case… looks to be functioning correctly. Thank you. B

I read on past subjects and after rebooting both dac and upnp mosaic looks like its old self and both still locked and rs232 both correct. No lock icon in play mode ontransport or dac but that may be normal. They are locked. Thx again

Hey @PAR Pete. Thank you. Yes. That was my first thought. I first went to the app store and updated but found the same issue on ipad and iphone. I just got back from a meeting and as watching this mornings f1 race. My wifefell asleep so i tried @Anupc solution. It seems to have worked. Thanks again for helping. Best. B
