We can’t force an update of the app from our end - but as has been said already, there is usually the option to have apps auto-update on the relevant app stores so I can only presume that this is enabled and that’s why/how yours got updated.
I am not a user of Android so GoolgePlay are not involved. I was unaware of the AppStore auto update as when I checked it yesterday see whether v!.4.4 had been posted ( in previous updates they had been slow) it was there but I was offered a choice whether to Update ( you normally get an option to Open if no available update or to Update if there is one). I just checked my account and some sort auto update seems to be enabled but there also seems to be no way to defeat it. You are able to bring forward updates that are awaiting installation.
So, not a dCS issue after all. However the scrolling is a significant obstacle to enjoyment. Imagine watching a TV news channel ( like BBC News). At the screen bottom is a continuous ticker tape type text display. Now imagine that instead of one ticker tape there are six of then stacked on top of each other and each carrying a different message and each at different points in the scrolling. Readable? Not really. Please get rid of this. It is the multiplicity of simultaneously scrolling texts that is the problem.
