Lina update not working…

I am trying to update mosaic/Lina and it won’t work. It downloads the update. Verified. Then fails with an error.

I restarted my iPhone, the hardware, etc… just not working.

Any ideas?

Network is fine as everything is flawless on it.

Thanks

Hi Judd,
A couple of users have had problems and in those cases the following workflow seems to have worked for them:

  1. Update the app on your phone/tablet
  2. Restart your dCS Unit with the rear switch
  3. Run the update

Can you give that a try?

Hi! Trying to update mosaic on my phone but it won’t load unless the Lina is “on”. What am I missing? Sorry if I’m being a bit goofy lol!

Update: I deleted and reinstalled mosaic app and that did the trick. Ty!!!

Judd, just for the future, remember updating Mosaic is a two part exercise; phone or tablet app and the firmware in your dCS unit. When you reinstalled the app you will in fact have updated it to v.1.4.4. This is the counterpart of the firmware update you downloaded ( 523). They work together.

Yesterday the Lina DAC updates failed here too.

Sent dCS Support full details including photos of the sequence of messages from the Mosaic app.

Awaiting a response before proceeding as the last message displayed says ‘FPGA update started …’

Welcome to the community @Justme. Well I haven’t seen that before. Good call, I’m sure support will help you get to the bottom of it.

Hi Justme . As a new community member I am guessing that you may also be new to Lina and that this is your first attempt at updating.

Did you read Andrew’s earlier post to Judd in this thread above?

Or my post in the thread:

For the app update you need to visit App Store or Google Play Store depending on your device.

Ty again for the quick and expert assistance!

Hi, thank you for chipping in. I’ve been using the Lina system since it first came out and I’ve had problems with previous updates too which were fixed by contacting Support.

But, like Andrew, I’ve never seen the system hang with the ‘FPGA Update’ message showing.
