On the google play store it clearly shows an image where you can select full screen for the track now playing.
Please advise how do I do this? All I can seem to do is just a small window on the rhs for the track playing details.

Arrr… it looks totally different in landscape mode. The screens aren’t the same 
Right so in landscape you can’t see a big window for the current playing track but you can in portrait
