Well, when confronted to “pseudo-scholars”, “scientist people” can become harsh… (and I totally include myself in this second harsh scientist category).
Now, keeping calm and just analyzing facts we have:
Someone, very kind it’s true, claiming he has knowledge than no one else has and denying the other camp rudeness due to “partial science”. Now what is his science? Has anybody seen any prove of what is claimed? (But recommendations of two hifi reviews, one coming from a totally obscure reviewer)
On the other side, although some posts may sound rude, we just have science and facts, with established sources (ieee and other standards) to prove the claims.
I’m definitely on this second camp.
Now myself, I’m getting tired of this thread as well.
What I’m really getting tired of, is all who pretend that science is just opinion that is worth the same as anyone claim, and all the many who are buying this.
Here, audiophiles willing to believe in any “quantum black-hole resistive air induction network” that would make their Ethernet packets “sound better in their DAC”… preferring to believe in this and denying science and facts eventually just because “it’s not fun enough…”, and more specifically because that proves buying something else to improve their hifi is just vain…
Also, the “I’m not able to decide what is true/important by myself and systematically prefer to ask ChatGPT than using my own brain” is just pity…

You all must have sensed that I was on annual leave yesterday as when I’m out of the room things get heated again, this is now the third time I’ve popped into this thread.
Have any specific forum rules been broken? No, but am I getting complaints? Yes, multiple complaints and reports, and from multiple forum members, some of whom have not even been active in this thread but have simply raised their concerns…
I’ve mainly kept out of the way on this thread, I’m not taking any sides and I’m not taking shots at anybody here, I’m not going to moderate anything, I’m not going to delete anything, I’m not going to close this thread as there’s been lots of good information and discussion here…
…but I am going to politely ask, hopefully without offending anyone, can we please ALL take a step back, take a breather and head off to other topics?
If anyone wants to PM me about this request then please do and we can discuss.
