Dela s100/2 power suply

Anyone bought a Dela s100/2 in Japan to use in another country?
The power supply is 100v and in my country 110v
If i buy another external 110v power supply it will works ?

It seems the Dela is a network switch which runs on 12V. Any standard power supply which can provide the rated amps should work, you could also experiment with higher grade power supplies.
I think the included one should work as 100 and 110V are really not far off and most standard power supplies can accommodate a range of voltages. Could you post a picture of what it says on the power supply?

12V-1A power supply
basically, it’s a Melco switch. Dela is (afaik) Melco for the Japanese market.

Japan has two stamdard mains voltages ( depending on where you live on the Jpanese islands). you have a power supply suitable for one of them, 100V. However this is for the 50Hz supply used in that part of Japan. You don’t actually say where you are but my immediate thought is that 110V mains are mainly found in countries with 60Hz supplies. Wirthout further information I assume this is so in your case.

I have no specific information on running a 50Hz PS of this nature on a 60Hz supply. Although it is not like running a synchronous motor in e.g. a turntable which would run at the wrong speed, it may affect robustness as the components willl draw more current and could get hot.

As an aside. I have a Melco S100 ( as pictured by @T38.45 ) . I and others have noted that differing PS , and even the DC cable, can affect the resultant sound. Another can of worms.

TKS everyone If i buy another lps with my country especifications 110/127V 60hz like ifi power elite it works replacing the 100v original one ? The Melco sold outside Japan has a 100 -240 v to fir the S100/2

Please post a picture of the included power supply with readable specifications.

That should work. You do not nnecessarily eed to post a photo of the PS as the Melco ( which is a Dela) has the power requirement written on the case. 12v., 1 amp ( I think that pictured is S/100/2). Most of the aftermarket power supplies exceed this requirement. 2 amp is fine as the device draws only half this. You should double check the Dela PS but I will be surprised if it differs from Melco. Let us know.

My main concern is the connectivity as the DC input type or size is not specified and I do not know if the connector or the ( usually) supplied accesory will fit.

As to whether whatever you choose will sound any good is an open question. Yes there are favoured PS for S100 but this starts to become costly. Further this is not a Melco S100 albeit related. Aside from casework, are there other Melco alterations?

try the ifi elite, the S100 really likes a fast (and quiet) SMPS and is not that expensive.

tks I ve one ifi Elite connected to my router and is really good
