DCS Verona firmware

Can that gentleman provide firmware for Verona? I had a problem with my Verona firmware and asked DCS to find a local reseller, but I used to buy it directly from DCS to fix my old DCS device.

I an not aware if firmware for Verona is available. It is, after all, nearly 25 years since introduction. I do not recall any firmware updates for Verona in any case. I will tag dCS support and @Phil about this message and suggest that you send an email to them at:

Hi Pete,

Thank you for the flag - I believe that I may already be in contact with Audio over this …

Phil

Thanks for the reply, contacted Phil Harris yesterday and he told me to contact an agent to deal with it. I don’t really want to find an agent anymore.
The Elgar, Purcell, Verona Verdi La Scala machines have been around for more than 30 years, and although I have newer Dcs Vivaldi equipment, this machine is a good old thing for me.
Thanks to Martin Reynolds, Ben Ashcroft, Phil Harris, for helping to keep them working to this day. Let me hear great music.

Just for the record not quite. If they were over 30 years old they all would have come out before 1995. Elgar was introduced in roughly 1997, Purcell later with the addition of the SACD/DSD IEE1394 upgrade ( i.e. the Plus suffix) subsequently and Verdi and Verona at intervals during the early years of this century. I was there :slightly_smiling_face: I can remember returning my Elgar/Purcell for the Plus upgrade and Rav bringing me the Verona to try. Happy days.

If Phil suggests seeking an “agent” I assume he may have meant your local distributor via an authorised retailer, then that is the recommended approach and is the usual structure for doing these things.

BTW, Martin has now been retired for a few years.

Thanks for the reply! Martin emailed me before he retired

Just to clarify the situation here…

For any territory where we have a distributor then the distributor should handle any requirements within their territory and we cannot just bypass distributors and deal directly. Of course, if the distributor defers and wants us to deal direct then that is their choice.

I hope that clarifies things a little.

In this instance I have given the OP a contact email for our Chinese Distributor and have included both of them into replies that we have had while discussing this so they should be in contact.

Thanks all.

Phil
