Hello
I recently invested in a Rossini clock, but I’m not very tech-savvy, so I need help figuring out how to turn it on with my Bartock DAC. I’ve looked at the instruction manual, but I’m having trouble understanding what to do.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Also, if you could recommend an RS232 cable, I would be very grateful.
external clocks like Rossini need to be thermally stable to provide the best sound. It takes some time for the unit tom reach the optimum temperature. So it is recommended that you leave the wordclock on . At least leave it in sleep mode. Obviously if you are going away for a holiday then switch off but it will not be ready for best listening immediately when you switch back on again.
Just for reference. I leave my vivaldi clock on standby, and when I go to use it, it normal takes about 5 minutes or so to get back to full operation, as on the vivaldi you get an icon pop up on the screen when the clock is up to temperature.
Obviously this is the vivaldi clock and not the rossini clock, but they probably take more or less the same time i would think to warm up from standby, so not long really.
I missed this functionality - does this mean if a Rossini DAC/Clock have a RS-232 connection placing DAC in standby does the same for clock? I have always just left it on like others but I do tend to put DAC in stand by when not using overnight to save screen usage.
