i have here a dcs 904 and a defective 954, i search for the PC RS232 software as the 954 front panel no longer responds …
i also looking for a used working 954/955 if anyone here wishes to sell it

I’d suggest you contact [email protected] and ask them, whether they could fix the problem.
(for repair of your sent in hardware they might eventually charge you £1’000).
BTW I do own these units (currently not for sale), but unfortunately I do not have the PC software.

unfortunately, dCS does not support DEMO BBC units, like the one i have here ..
I’m surprised, that dCS allegedly would not support all units manufactured by them.
Please get yourself into contact with [email protected] to verify this.
According to your photos and serial number, your unit is not a dCS 954 but a dCS 952.
You are right it s a 952, not 954 .
@AndrewS is on the way to find a solution, i didn’t expect a such support, believe me dCS care a lot about their customers, even with very old and discontinued units, i couldn’t be more glad .
i’m a professional mastering engineer, use a lot of high end converters (Weiss,Lavry,Pacific Microsonics, Mola Mola, Benchmark,Merging..) and i’ve never encourted a such fast, easy and pro support

According to the labels stuck to the components this appears to be one of the custom units made for the BBC . I saw one being serviced when I visited the factory last year.
It might be, not that that will not repair it, but that they cannot repair it due to availability of the required part for such an elderly model.
Glad to see that it is being looked into.
