Bartok - Renaming input names

I tried to change the input names following word by word the procedure in the user manual but it did not work. Any hint or advice ?

I understand that the change of name will not appear on Mosaic. is it correct?

There seem to be a number of external components needed to do this and as , therefore, there are many variables it is a difficult question. Certainly the Bartok manual envisages that problems may ensue , especially regarding the choice of computer program to enable renaming . The manual therefore recommends dealer assistance.

I thought that finding a short RS 232 cable to connect a Bartok to the Rossini Clock to allow both to turn on/off at the same time would be easy. But so far i am struggling. I need a two way 9 pin D-type RS232 connector, female to female, straight through (not null modem) If anyone has a source, then pls let me know
