Yesterday, while testing the Qobuz Connect feature, an old problems showed up again.
At one point, the display froze, music continued playing but as soon as I switched to a differently encoded track, being it at an higher or lower bitrate, music played faster or slower, with corresponding pitch. The power button became unresponsive, the only way to fix the whole was to use the back main switch to shut everything off and on again.
This isn’t tied to Qobuz Connect, I already had this happen on Mosaic. It happens from time to time, I couldn’t establish an exact pattern to trigger it. Maybe too many bit rates and depths changes in a brief time? I don’t know, really.
This is one issue I remember someone else already reported in the past. Did any of these users send the player to you? Were you able to sort the issue? Was it a software or an hardware issue? (I guess that if it was software you would have fixed in the recent firmware release)
Your issues are varied and may not necessarily have a single cause or be solved online. They are also intermittent without any clear pattern of use to help isolate them. I would suggest that the best course for you to follow is to contact dCS directly at Support:
For your future help, the forum is basically a dialogue between dCS customers. Although some dCS staff members see postings from time to time , this is not always the case, hence you need to use the above if you want to be certain of speaking with them.
As @PAR has already suggested, can you please drop us an email over at [email protected] as there are a number of things that we would like to check through with you to find out the cause of your issue before we can suggest a resolution / way forward.
