Your favorite record of 2025

What was your favorite record of 2025?
The one you listened to the most?
(It does not necessarily have to be released in 2025).

To me (and to my surprise as I was pretty sure the latest Jérôme Sabbagh was ahead - but Roon statistics are categoric, and Sabbagh “Stand Up!” is actually at the third place, second are Wetleg with “Moisturirzer”), it was:

I hardly ever use Roon (unless I need to downsample DSD files), so..

I don’t know…

I suppose that, when a new album that I like is released, I listen to it a few times, then I move on.

The challenge for me is that I have almost 20,000 albums (constituting 6tb of storage) of music on my server so, every day, I listen initially to Radio Paradise, to both warm up my system and prompt me towards a particular genre or artist…

Except, on Sundays, I listen to BBC Radio 3…

Hello Jonathan,

Well there is this very forum and all the posts that you’ve made on the “What’s spinning” Threads of 2025 that could be a good indicator.

I took the liberty to write a quick&dirty script to grab all the posts of the “What’s spinning” topics, extract the ones coming from you, and analyze the potential redundancies.

All along the 586 posts you’ve made so far, there are never more than 2 occurrences but for one record which is named 3 times:

Could it be your favorite record of 2025?
