Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” on SACD (2014 fixed Columbia release) is a stunning album, both musically and sonically

There is also a brand new Dolby Atmos/ 5.1 surround mix version on blu-ray, by Steven Wilson:

STEVEN WILSON DOLBY ATMOS MIX & 5.1 SURROUND MIX • BONUS TRACK: DON’T FORGET HER

Jeff Buckley’s debut album, Grace, originally released in August 1994 on Columbia Records, has been mixed in immersive Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround Sound by Steven Wilson for this special blu-ray audio.

The album features a cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ as well as ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’.

Although not on the original Grace album, this release also includes ‘Forget Her’. Now available on Blu-Ray Audio - 2026 Dolby ATMOS and 5.1 mixes by Steven Wilson

Grace is released on blu-ray on 24 April 2026, via Sony.

I have it on order.

Muddy Wasters “Folk Singer” SACD; Classic Americana Blues.

Still hard to comprehend how this 1964 recording transfer onto SACD sounds so good. Sonically a 9 out of 10 for sure.

I have the DSD128 version of it from HDTT.
Sound quality is excellent here too.
The Dynamic Range of the HDTT version is 13dB (the SACD version should be quite similar), so well above average records.

Interestingly, Qobuz has a PCM 24/96 version available that’s titled “Folk Singer (SACD)”

Yes. I have the mfsl one step vinyl of this. I have heard it presented on numerous systems including local dcs/wilson/dagostino system. Very cool recording. The natural sound on it can be quite remarkable. I also notice on even the best systems it really shows how well or poorly a system is set up. The recording engineer, in his desire to add depth to the recording, built in depth using the adjacent spaces to create volume. When heard ( i believe as intended) most natural, it can sound quite stunning. when not, dynamic but not believable. great choice

Another fantastic SACD transfer from a 1961 recording. Serious toe-tapper to boot!

I think that their live version ‘Cortez the Killer’ is better than Neil Young’s…
It’s epic!

Really enjoy what this young French singer is doing. Liked her when she was the frontwoman of the electro-pop band “L’impératrice” and even liked her more since she left and then create her own Jazz-band!
