Thanks to @AndrewS for introducing my son and I to this yesterday.
We had never heard anything quite like it. It sounded incredible on the Varèse !

My colleague Ali and I spent a fair amount of time setting up the M6es** which had been requested by the previous visitor to the demo room (this also entails changing the listening position). Like most speakers they repay very close attention to exact positioning and toe in. Even adjustments as small as a centimeter are quite audible. We thought we had them pretty well dialled in and this track pretty much proved it. I was grinning from ear to ear.
** Unfortunately due to a company offsite we didn’t have time to swap back to the Alexx Vs which may have been more to Jonathan’s taste. It is definitely a 2-man job, the M6es weigh 200kg. Each.
We certainly thought so too!
So were we!
That would have been nice (as I have Alexia V’s), but it was great to hear the M6’s ‘strut’ (see what I did there ) their stuff!
The entire set up, which included a Constellation Hercules (which my son called “the Mother ship”), sounded absolutely magnificent!
Thanks Rob, quite a mesmerising album!
This sounded absolutely incredible on the Varèse!
Thanks to @AndrewS for suggesting that we listen to it.
It also sounds good on my lowly set up in the UK,

I’m glad you liked it! Have you tried the Shostakovich?
Not yet, but I will…
Buckle up!
It’s next in my play queue…

Crikey! I see (hear) what you mean!
Ah, that’s the original Archie Andrews with Van. An act I loved; ventriloquism on the radio! Nearly as good as ballet.
PS: Van is the one with a hat.
