@all2ofme’s enthusiasm for the Missa Papae Marcelli suddenly reminded me of this old favourite. Although this was the recording that marked the breakthrough of the Tallis Scholars, peaked at No.1 on the UK classical music chart and was subsequently chosen by BBC Music Magazine as one of the 50 greatest recordings of all time I have to confess I had completely forgotten about it! Now available to stream in hi res, sublime.

I haven’t really listened to Oasis for many years and back then it would have been portable CD player or MP3… listening again today on my Varèse (sorry to incite any jealousy there!) really strikes me how special this is.
