The Allegri Reference is settling in. I’m no engineer, and I don’t have golden ears, so I’m not sure how to explain how a passive device can “improve” a sound image. My system’s goal is “neutrality,” good on as much music as possible, not special in one genre and acceptable on others. And yet, the AR makes it better. Most notably, the soundstage is significantly deeper. Some of this could possibly be due to having the DAC set to 0.0. Much more to hear, I am sure.
