… but this one impressed me. It is not a simple comparison, it illustrates how much influence violins character has on music. I am hooked.

René Jacobs is not playing it safe in this mesmerizing performance. The opening track makes that perfectly clear. At two and a half hours it’s a long listen, but so much more festive than the usual dreary run of Christmas carols.
