Back to some old comfort music, non-holiday style.
Who made the sound of Fleetwood Mac at that time?
The answer lies with this ripped LP of mine.
2 years before they joined Fleetwood Mac.
Hard to find, I’m afraid.
I happen to own it myself. Not a big fan of the album, but I do wish it was digitally available. But I am a huge fan of the chemistry and synthesis that occurred when Buckingham and Nicks filled the space left by Bob Welch [who was generally not great for the band in my view, but did set some of the stage for what was to come] and connected with the McVies. Buckingham’s guitar work in particular became a true band trademark. And I loved Nicks’ vocals before she shredded her vocal chords. I’ve been to a number of solo concerts by Buckingham and Fleetwood [who is delightfully entertaining when you get to sit down with him; his thoughts on those times are interesting].
Hmm, almost forgotten about that one; I have it too.
Let the digging in my collection commence…
Not sure if this has been posted already, but it’s fantastic:
Another album that somehow managed to pass me by at the time. Sneaky album. An unusual listen
I may have to check that out.
Please report back! I can imagine it dividing opinion…into about 34 pieces.
This is such a joyful record. Just put it on repeat for the next two days. Available on Qobuz ( one of the best sounding Naxos recordings too).
Delightful!
Very nice.
