When i read the specifications and compare the Bartok with the Rossini i noticed that the Bartok weights 1 kilo more then the Rosinni.
Is that correct.I asumed the opposite…
That is not correct:
Bartok 14.8 kg
Rossini 15.6 kg
According to the current manuals:
Bartók DAC: 16.7kg (36.8lbs)
Bartók Headphone DAC: 15.7kg (34.7lbs)
Rossini DAC: 15.6kg (34.3lbs)
If this is correct then it is strange that the headphone DAC weighs less than the regular one.
It seems to depend where you look. In the specs given on the Only The Music posting Bartok Apex is 16Kg and the headphone version 16.7 Kg. so the additional circuitry and transformer weighs 700g apparently.
I was getting my figures from earlier manuals that I have stored but cannot explain why the standard unit has grown from 14.8Kg to 16kg. Surely the difference in weight of Apex over its predecessor board cannot amount to over a kilo?
To me this smacks of a balls up somewhere which @Phil may ( or may not) like to look into next week.
