After a year with my Bartok Apex (fantastic experience I have to say), I thought its time to take the Bartok Apex to the next level. Just ordered the Lina Word Clock.
I will be curious to see what it can add to the already fantastic Bartok Apex. I stream everything in my system from DSD files to Qobuz.
Not sure how much cables play a roll on the Lina. I purchased from Moon Audio and elected to start out with their made to order Silver Dragon BNC cables.
My Bartok feeds my Audionet Watt amp in to a pair of Vivid Audio Kaya 45 speakers. Its a very resolving system
Congratulations! IMO Moon’s Silver Dragon are very good high value cables, I think they should work well.
As others have pointed out here many times, the effect is subtle (as you would expect at this performance level) and different people have different sensitivity to it. It is also a slightly paradoxical in that it both increases the sense of ease or relaxation and the focus and fine detail and texture at the same time. Over time however you become attuned and notice directly when the clock is turned off or removed. Have fun!
My initial assessment has been an improvement in fine timbre and decay is improved due to a reduction in noise. It’s a subtle improvement but a nice improvement indeed in my system. Very satisfied with the Lina/Bartok Apex combo!
