After cutting 10% of its staff earlier this year it looks like Tidal are at it again. A new 25% staff cut this time around.
I hope Qobuz is doing well. We count on these services for full resolution streaming.
This does not look good. I particularly note the seeming contradiction of Dorsey reported as saying they will lead with engineering and design yet simultaneously reducing engineering.
Block were being investigated by New York regarding compliance issues. Has that concluded?
. Incidentally, contrary to Fortune, Jay-Z did not found Tidal. It was originated by Aspiro in Norway with Jay-Z acquiring it later for a period.

Sometimes this kind of business have to much “fat”, look at the exemple of X. He fired 80% of the staff and things keep going.
