Status of Melco/DELA

does anyone know the current situation of Melco/DELA?

I have been told that they are no more or are no more for the UK. I tried the DELA web page and searched for retailers but the link drew a blank.

Several of us use Melco units as NAS devices very happily so it will be shame if they have gone. The reason I was given ( from a retailer) is that streaming services have killed the market for stored files.

Or is this all unfounded?

Pete,
I have just done an internet search and it seems that the Melco brand name has been phased out (the process began last summer), with all products now under the DELA brand name.

Here is a link to my search result…

And a link to DELA’s homepage, with the products tab, which includes Melco branded products…

Thanks Jonathan . However I know about the rebranding to DELA . However the information that I was given came from one of London’s well known audio dealers.

The regular monthly full page ads for Melco have not reappeared in Hi-Fi news nor have they been replaced with ones for DELA.

Is there any further news? Though I suppose that no news is news in its own right .

I tried your link and the further link within the DELA page to find retailers. Again the link was not operational.

Hi Pete,

The Dutch distributor of Dela has just published a 2026 pricelist of Dela, so they seem be around:

Dela’s Global Dealer list is still up as well, including the UK Dealer;

Here is a link to the DELA dealers page.

Also a screenshot

Thanks to you all. I am feeling comforted .

The retailer listed for the UK is other than expected so perhaps what lies behind this is a change of UK distributor ?

Pete,

The screenshot that I sent you lists the distributors so, perhaps, the retailers have changed…?

I just realised that ADMM is Audiophile Digital Music Masters Ltd. AKA Alan Ainslie. So no change after all.

That’s good :+1:

I have spoken to several dealers, who have lost confidence in the brand and will no longer stock it. Stating it was a terrible move to dump the Melco brand name here in the UK.

This goes much deeper, of which I have first hand knowledge of recently. It would be unprofessional of me to say anymore on the matter.

That is correct Pete.
