Each country will have their own distributors/pricing model, so differences can be expected. These usually take into account things like shipping costs, import duties, local taxes and the margin the distributor decides to apply.
In Japan, for example, the pricing is 1,188,000 JPY, which back at the beginning of March was over 10k USD!

I sent my Rossini to the authorized dealer for the Apex upgrade. When it returned a few weeks later, I was amazed at how good it sounded. However, there are times when I wish I had my old, non-Apex version at home to compare.
Thanks to the generosity of a good friend, now I do. Time to listen to both.
