Hi Heebong ,as this is your first posting I hope that you find this a welcoming and useful place.
I am assuming that you are using dCS Mosaic to access KBS. However I am unsure and would be grateful if you would kindly confirm this nor tell us if you are using another method.
Although the KBS stations are provided via airable ( the internet radio provision in Mosaic), there are a number of related stations but their individual identity shows only in Korean script which I am unable to read. So I cannot be certain that I am listening to the correct stream.
This sounds like a local issue caused by either your internet supplier or by Mosaic losing contact with your network. The latter issue is virtually always caused by issues with your LAN. It is not likley to be a fault with Mosaic itself.
Please let us know if you are able to provide any further information.
Thank you for your reply.
I have problem KBS classic FM chanel only on airable.
The other chanels are okay using airable radio.
KBS also provide their own app and there are no problem on KBS app.
So I think there are no problem on network.
You can tune and here the KBS classin FM chanel.
My audio dealer says they also recognized the problem.
Thank you.
At the risk of asking the obvious question, have you rebooted your Rossini Player, by turning off the unit with the rear rocker switch, waiting for at least 30 seconds, then powering up again?
I ask because I occasionally encounter the same issue with internet radio, but rebooting my Rossini Apex has (hitherto) always fixed the problem.
Thank for your advise.
However the issue are still occuring.
You may test it by tuning KBS classic FM through airable.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for the screenshot. I have been listening to KBS ClassicFM and there is no truncation aside from when the announcer interrupts. I am listening via Mosaic ( airable). I assume that you mean you will now try Mosaic.
Iâve been listening to this station for over 5 minutes, without any truncation issuesâŠ
So, it works for me, albeit itâs not a lossless stream (as itâs AAC 193.7 kbps)
I spoke too soon!
As soon as I pressed send on my post, the station âdropped outâ. Itâs working again now, but for how long is anyoneâs guessâŠ
I suspect that it may be an issue with Airable who, as @PAR says, are the internet radio provider for Mosaic.
Iâll try a more extended listen.Right now I am listening to BBC Radio 3 âRecord Reviewâ which is a weekly essential couple of hours so I will try when it is over.
OK, I have been listening to KBS Classic for some time via Mosaic ( airable). There are no drop outs or truncations at all.
An earlier listening session did feature some music truncations but all if these were caused by the announcer fading out the music in order to speak after a gap of a couple of seconds⊠So that was a presentation quirk of the service. It may have been caused by that section being automated ( which causes announcements at the time the computer decides, not at a sympathetic moment).
The problem wonât be easy to track down as KBS appears to use a Content Distribution Network (CDN) for internet radio streaming services: 1fm.gscdn.kbs.co.kr (noticed CloudFront being used) - which means the user experience could vary from geography to geography.
If other Internet Radio channels are ok on the Rossini, and only KBS Classic FM has a problem, why do you suspect something is wrong with the Rossini? Isnât it more likely that either airable or KBSâ streams are the problem?
Yes. You are right!
KBS classic FM may using their unque streaming network technology as CDN.
The other streaming maker like Hifirose has similar probem.
I am loʻking foward to listen KBS classic FM without truncation. So I hope dCS experts can solve the problem as soon as possible.
Thank you very much for your help anyway.
Hi Guys,
Is it possible that the interruptions to the Internet Radio stream coincide with a change of the METADATA being shown on the âNow Playingâ screen?
