Rossini Clock vs Vivaldi Clock

Would like some input about the differences I might expect with a Rossini vs Vivaldi clock utilized with a Rossini Apex dac. Thanks in advance.

Hello Harry,

There are several dCS forum threads on this subject.

This is one such thread;

Some people don’t hear much of a difference with a clock in their system, whereas others do.

I suggest that you arrange for a demo (ideally at home) so that you can judge for yourself.

Thanks Jonathan, much appreciated. I did a good bit of searching and found a lot of discussion about clock vs no clock, but couldn’t find many A-B comparisons between Rossini - Rossini Clock vs. Rossini- Vivaldi Clock. I’m interested in whether anybody has noted audible benefit for the extra dollars for the Vivaldi clock.

PS Ben now runs a Rossini APEX DAC with a Vivaldi Clock.

ok…after reading this i managed to acquire a Vivaldi clock that is on the way to me and will arrive tomorrow. I’d really appreciate some cable recommendations at a few different levels. This hobby is too much.

Wow…just shocked at the degree of improvement with the Vivaldi clock. So glad i found one fast. And this is with the included Apogee Wyde Eye cables. Can’t wait to try with higher end cables.

Had the U clock than Scarlatti and now Vivaldi clock… was always an excellent upgrade.

I suspect you got the one I was looking at! I’ve managed to source another (at higher price, sadly), looking forward to hearing the difference myself. :slight_smile: I would also be curious about results of any further cable experiments…

The addition of the clock was not as subtle as I expected. Clear improvement. I’m currently using some AcousticZen digital cables I had lying around, but interested to see how some better ones affect things.
