Although I was about five when Ghost town came out, the Specials does belong to the sounds of my youth. Rest softly Terry.
Yesterday was in fact the third anniversary of Terry Hall’s untimely passing. I meant to include the dates in the post and clearly forgot (now fixed). Apologies if I misled anyone.
Posts about it were all over my feeds as I subscribe to several 2-tone groups. I can’t possibly overstate the importance of this music to me.
Any day is a good day to listen to it.

I did wonder about it, because the article said that he died aged 63, and was born in 1959…

It’s been a while since I last listened to the Specials.
The Specials first album is one of the best popular albums I’ve heard. Certainly a top 10 on my list. I was always disappointed they ended after 2 and 1/2 albums. But it was likely a high note for them appearing in Natural Born Killers and then to get included in many more. The Fun Boy 3 remix is pretty cool.
