New to dCS Questions

Hello all. I’m new to dCS and have just purchased a Rossini Apex DAC and Vivaldi Clock. I’m enjoying the system very much but have a few questions which hopefully someone can help with.

  1. Do Clock users tend to have dither switched on or off, or is it just down to listening and personal preference?

  2. Mosaic. I use Qobuz. Is there any way to sort saved albums and playlists alphabetically? I can’t see any way of doing it, and it is quite frustrating.

  3. A minor thing, but how do you illuminate the “dCS” logo on the Vivaldi Clock. I can’t see a way of doing it in the menus. The dCS logo on the DAC is switchable via the App.

Welcome to the dCS club! Here are the answers, to the best of my knowledge:

  1. I have dither turned on. dCS does mention that it theoretically should improve performance of the PLL in the DAC. I’d suggest trying it on and off and deciding which you prefer (I honestly coudn’t hear a difference)

  2. I’m not aware of any way to do this

  3. The Vivaldi was released before the Rosinni and none of the Vivaldi components have light up dCS logos.
