I don’t know if it’s my imagination but, after just having updated the network board of my Network Bridge to the latest version 513, sound quality improvement is significant. Greater detail. A more solid presentation – everything well defined in space. Bass particularly clean and solid. Anyone else had experience with this update?
The updates to Mosaic and the network board are related to feature or GUI aspects . There is nothing done that will affect the sound per se, So it is indeed your imagination. If you care to do this I would suggest that you read the Release Notes for v.1.4.3 /513 and you will see that two issues are addressed, Tidal Connect and gapless replay glitches.

Ha! How about that! But I can’t help thinking that something did make a difference. Rebooting the Network Bridge? Rebooting the Devialet 250? Listening after a day’s hard physical labour in the garden? Whatever, I’m still in love with my system.
To update software you usually have to switch the unit off from the rear power switch and wait a minute or three before switching back on. When you do this the system is refreshed from memory. I guess in some cases this may cause a change if things were not ideal to begin with but I noticed no sound quality difference at all with this update ( Vivaldi Upsampler in my case).
I am more inclined to think of this as the kind of illusion one may get having done “something”. For example I expect that most of us will have cleaned our car and thought it ran more smoothly afterwards!
And that is the whole point .
The placebo effect in full swing.
Like so much in this hobby.
