Like many, I am hugely thrilled by the release of a new statement product from a brand with every last bit of credibility to pull off such a no holds barred ultra expensive new system.
For our wider product user base, can the new Mosaic Actus app be used across the existing product lines like LINA? That would be a huge upgrade for everyone…
I expect we will hear this today or in the next days from @James what new stuff will be rolled out to existing users.
Unlikely in a literal sense as it has features unique to Varese e.g. setup of the remote for that product. However, at the time of writing not all attributes that will be available for Actus are posted in the online “Discover” piece. Much will resemble the existing version anyway I am sure. Judging from the images posted by dCS it looks pretty similar to the current version at least in terms of GUI.
It is, however, essential to appreciate that the Mosaic that you have with Lina ( or anything else) is not a final version. It will continue to develop and incorporate new features as time goes by. If you are fairly new to dCS you may not have yet had a chance to experience the update process. If you want to check how up to date you are then simply use the update option via the hamburger menu ( top left hand corner of Mosaic).

As Pete (@PAR ) has said - the Mosaic App and the Mosaic ACTUS App are separate entities and as such the two are not interchangeable - the Varese uses a totally different internal control and operational architecture to the Lina / Bartok / Rossini and Vivaldi and so the two control apps are separate…
That doesn’t mean though that the Mosaic app is in any way end of line or no longer supported just as it doesn’t mean that the Lina / Bartok / Rossini and Vivaldi are no longer supported … they are still very much “live” and current products which are being developed and developed for just as normal.

Thanks very much indeed Phil; it’d just be nice to see some ergonomic refinement come to Mosaic when the time comes, in my case, ease of searching and sorting the Qobuz content it displays… But it’s excellent as is really!
